We empower people

We empower people

Join us, as we unite people, resources and funding to help build strong, resilient communities where everyone can thrive. This is more than a fundraising campaign; United Way is a movement. Unite with us as we empower and strengthen people, families and neighborhoods across Missouri and Illinois.

Our Stories

Special thanks to Bonita Cornute for being the voice of our mission video and success stories.

One Community

Helping people live their best possible lives takes all of us. Since 1922, United Way of Greater St. Louis has brought people together around a shared belief: when we invest in one another, we all move forward together.

That’s the power of community. Neighbors helping neighbors. Individuals, companies, labor partners, foundations, and nonprofits coming together to create something larger than any one person or organization could achieve alone. This fall, our community comes together with one shared purpose: to give. Through one campaign, we can support families, strengthen local nonprofits, and stabilize our region.

United We Give

Today, we continue that legacy by bringing people, resources, and funding together to help neighbors overcome challenges and build brighter futures across Missouri and Illinois. Each year, we help more than 1 million people across our 16-county region through programs, services, and partnerships that address both immediate and long-term needs.

One Campaign

Our annual Community Campaign is how we turn generosity into action.

When people give through United Way, their support becomes part of something larger. Together, those gifts create collective impact across our region.

When individuals, companies, labor unions, foundations, and community partners come together around a shared commitment to helping others, the impact extends far beyond what any one organization could achieve alone. Through collective giving, United Way helps equip more than 150 local nonprofits with vital funding and resources that strengthen communities throughout our region. Your support helps sustain services such as the 211 Referral Line, the United Way Volunteer Center, financial mobility initiatives, and community and crisis response efforts. Because people choose to give together, support is there when our neighbors need it most.

United, We Give

Whether you make a one-time gift, become a monthly donor, join a leadership giving society, volunteer your time, or advocate for our mission, your support helps create lasting change across our region.

The need is now, and the opportunity is ours.
